How to Finance to Build a House?

It's called a construction loan. What you're saying is that you propose to act as your own general contractor. Good luck with that - the fact that you have to ask how to schedule the work demonstrates that you're not qualified to self-contract. As your own GC, you not only have to coordinate all the subcontractors, you also have to deal with all the permitting, city inspections, utility hookups, etc. That's not an easy job. If you want to build a "non-cookie cutter" home, a better way to to hire a GC (and architect) who specializes in that construction instead of looking at the tract home developers.
